Norma Jean Stout

Jean Stout went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 31, 2022.  She was raised in Newton, Kansas by Robert and Mildred Kasitz.  After graduating high school, she moved to California where she met and later married Ken Stout who survives.  The couple celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary on January 5, 2022.

Jean was a highly active member of Holly Hill Baptist Church for over 40 years.  She loved her church and over the years faithfully served on several different church ministries.

To help support her family needs she worked many different jobs as the family lived and traveled coast to coast, including the Santa Fe Railroad, RCA Records, kindergarten teacher and assistant manager at Waccamaw Pottery in Burlington.  She enjoyed arts/crafts, reading, trips to the beach and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Ken; daughter, Debbie Muehe (Tim); son, Gary Stout; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a brother, Jerry Kasitz (Jo).  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lois.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 8, 2022 at Holly Hill Baptist Church by Dr. Gene Hunsinger with burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service at the church.
