Norman Simpson

Norman Larry Simpson, age 67, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Kindred Hospital. He was a native of Alamance County. Larry was the owner and operator for over 45 years of Larry's Mini Mart on Hwy 87 North. He was a member of the PPA Professional Putter's Association playing in Putt -Putt tournaments over the years. Larry was a member of North Graham Baptist Church and a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Alcon and her husband, Mike of Altamahaw; grandsons, Joshua Alcon and Michael Alcon; step granddaughter, Misty Howell and a step great grandson, Nathaniel Howell; sister, Penny Turner of Snow Camp and a brother, Paul Clayton Turner, Jr. and his wife, Vonda of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Bowman Simpson; farther, Elwood Simpson, mother, Mary Frances "Peggy" Daniels Turner and step father, Paul Clayton Turner, Sr. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Walter Jones. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of Tammy Alcon.
