Odell Westbrook

Odell Westbrook, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Ashton Place. He was born on February 2, 1932 in Wayne County to the late Luther and Nora Sophrone Britt Westbrook. He was the husband of the late Bessie Caroline Briggs Westbrook.

Odell retired as a Electrical Mechanic for HE Wilson Company. He was a Charter member of Faith Bible Chapel in Burlington which merged to become Lighthouse Bible Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and following Nascar. Odell was a farmer for many years and devoted to his family.

Survivors include his sister, Estelle Griffin of Florida and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sons, Nathan Ross Westbrook and Noel Westbrook; brothers, Cleo, Granger, Richard, Frank and Daniel Westbrook and sisters, Inez Herring, Jewell Daniels, Minnie Westbrook and Clara Bell Bordeau.

His kindness and love will never be forgotten by his family and friends, who will continue to celebrate his life and the countless memories they created together.
