Pamela Campbell King, 67, of Elon, N.C., passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Pam was born on December 8, 1958 in Burlington, N.C. She was a graduate of Williams High School and furthered her education by attending college courses and studying management, always striving to expand her knowledge and skills throughout her career. Pam dedicated many years of her life to her work, serving as a Technical Clerk for AT&T and later as a Buyer for Carolina Biological Supply Company. She was known for her strong work ethic, loyalty, and dedication throughout her career. More than just a valued employee, she was a trusted colleague and friend to many. Her warm personality and genuine kindness allowed her to form lasting friendships everywhere she worked, and she was loved and respected by all who worked alongside her. Pam was former member of St. Mark's Church.
Pam is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Eddie, her three daughters, Brandy Siegner (Adam), Cydney McCollum (Alex), Brianna Whitfield (Chris); her six grandchildren, Kolby Kronbergs, Carson Kronbergs, Paisley McCollum, Layton McCollum, Maddox McCollum, Camden Whitfield; her sisters, Bonnie Whitaker (Jerry), Tina Avant (Jimmy), Annette Foust; her brother, Timmy Campbell, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Joyce Campbell.
Pam found joy in life’s simple pleasures and treasured every moment spent with the people she loved most. She loved relaxing at the beach, where she felt happiest listening to the waves and soaking up time with family and friends. One of her favorite traditions was taking special sister trips filled with laughter, memories, and endless conversations. She also enjoyed cooking dinners for those she cared about, bringing everyone together around the table with love and warmth.
Pam cherished her former colleagues from the different places she worked over the years. These weren’t just coworkers to her — they became special, lasting friends. She truly looked forward to their get-togethers, especially going out to eat together. Those meals were filled with laughter, conversation, and shared memories from their time working together. For her, these gatherings were always a highlight, and she deeply valued the friendships that continued long after her working years. More than anything, Pam cherished spending time with her family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 2:00PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel and the burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Elon. . The family will receive friends and family from 12:30-1:45PM prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Pam’s presence meant so much to so many, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
