Patricia Flynn

Patricia "Patsy" Jones Flynn, age 62, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 20, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of 40 years to Deleno Flynn and the daughter of the late William Fremont Jones and Marianne Passmore Jones who survives. Patsy retired from the Guilford County school system and was a member of the Gibsonville United Methodist Church. She was actively involved in her church as a member of the Friends in Faith Sunday School Class, Chancel choir and the hand bell choir. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels Alamance County. Patsy was a graduate of the Class of 1964 of Gibsonville High School where she was a cheerleader. She enjoyed growing flowers and spending time with her dogs, Lucy, Hogan, Spooky and Dixie. She is survived by her husband, Deleno Flynn of the home; mother, Marianne P. Jones of Gibsonville; sister, Susie Jones of Gibsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Betty Jones of Port Richie, Florida; daughter-in-law, Dusty Flynn-Russell of Clarksville, Tennessee and her grandson, Morgan Dean-Joshua Flynn also of Clarksville, TN; uncle, J. C. Jones of Greensboro and her aunt, Betty Jack Knightstep of Ft. Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Joshua "Josh" Flynn and her father, William F. Jones. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gibsonville United Methodist Church by Dr. David Greene and assisted by Rev. Jim Bowen and Rev. Mike Jordan. The burial will follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. on Sunday at the church and other times at the residence. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
