Pauline Clark Hancock

Pauline Clark Hancock, 93, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 29, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife to the late George Hancock, Jr. and the daughter of the late Alva and Connie Clark.

Pauline dearly loved the Lord. She was born in Caldwell County and a resident of Alamance County for over 80 years. She worked for Woolworth Co until they closed and retired from Elon College Dining Services after many years of service. She along with her late husband George enjoyed restoring antique furniture, automobiles, and going on tours dressed in the age-appropriate clothing of the vehicles, one of their vehicles winning a grand national. They were past members of the Antique Automobile Club of America, Horseless Carriage Club of America and co- founders of the Alamance Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America where she held positions as treasurer and editor. She also managed bookings, sound, and recordings of the family band throughout the 70’s. She enjoyed and cherished time with family and friends, cooking out on the indoor grill and making homemade ice cream no matter the time of day or night. She saw beauty in all flowers and loved going to her home in the mountains and seeing the seasonal Fall colors. Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, Aunt, friend and best friend to her daughter-in- law. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
