Peggy Rice

YANCEYVILLE- Mrs. Peggy McCuiston Rice, 67, of 754 Staley Boswell Rd., died Monday, March 5, 2007 at her home after two months of failing health. A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Paul Branch McCuiston and the late Dorothy Duggins McCuiston and was marrried for over 50 years to Kenneth E. Rice, who survives. She was loving homemaker and was a member of Christian Reconciliation Fellowship. Mrs. Rice is survived by her husband of the home; three daughters, Susan Perdue of Yanceyville, Karen Irusta and her husband, Joel, of Archdale, and Nikki Rice of High Point; five grandchildren, Kevin Byrd, Emily Byrd, Hillary Irusta, Jared Irusta, and Katie Varner; one great grandchild, Caleb Byrd; three sisters, Mable Johnson of Jamestown, Faye Patrum of Graham, and Brenda Andrews of Burlington; and two brothers, James McCuiston of Efland and Robert McCuiston of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Wendy Balser; and two brothers, Danny McCuiston and Tommy McCuiston. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Joel Irusta. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
