Burlington Philip Timothy Norusis,78, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021. He was born on November 11, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Charles and Sophia Kuksta Norusis. Philip was married to the late Kay Harmon Norusis for 48 years who passed in 2020.

Philip retired from the Federal Government and was a US Army Veteran. He was a graduate of the University of Detroit. Philip was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, missing his wife dearly who passed a year ago in January. He lived his entire life steadfast in service to God, his family and his country.

Philip is survived by his sons, Brian Norusis, Kevin (Katy) Norusis and Michael (Lynn) Norusis; grandchildren, Kailey, Connor, Jude and Owen Norusis; siblings, Ralph (Pat) Norusis, Greg (Gail) Norusis and Charlene (John) Szymanski.

A celebration of Philip’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 11:00am, at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, by Rev. Paul Lininger, OFM, Conv. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30-11:00am.  He will be laid to rest on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 1:00pm at Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Research Children’s Hospital, 501St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
