Phillip "Phil" Jones

Phillip “Phil” Leon Jones, 78, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.  He was born on March 20, 1942 in Guilford County to the late Francis Magnolia Jones.

Phil was a retired Petty Officer First Class with the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service.  He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many who will be dearly missed.

Phil is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tina Jane Mann Jones; sons, Mark Allen Jones (Miranda), Phillip Wayne Jones (Angela), David William Jones (Jennifer), George William Taylor Jones, Johnathan Frederick Bryant Jones and Alexander Nathaniel Grant Jones; grandchildren, Arianna Green (Jimmy), Rachel, Nicholas, Lydia, Matthew, Claire, Mitchell and Isabella Jones; great grandchildren, Ruby and Archie Green; his former wife and mother of his first three sons, Silvana Scali; and special cousins, Dean Jones and Pat Roach (Jimmy).  He was preceded in death by his mother, Francis Jones and his maternal grandparents, Robert “Bill” William Jones and Georgia Allen Jones.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, November 6, 2020 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park.  Phil will be available for viewing from 8:00am to 1:45pm Friday prior to the service.  The family will be at the residence.
