Polly Lewis

Mrs. Polly Aldridge Lewis, age 71, of Burlington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 15, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several years of failing health.

Born in Durham County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Rufus Aldridge and the late Pauline Simmons Aldridge and was married to the late Carl Anthony Lewis II, who passed in 2010.  She retired from Gold Toe Moretz after 27 years of service and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints Caswell Ward.  Polly loved her family and was a great lover of animals and enjoyed rescuing them.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by four sisters, Katrine Hall, Evonne (Preston) Pruitt, Elaine Wrenn and Merry Parrott; two brothers, Eddie (Barbara) Aldridge and Kenneth (Debbie) Aldridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; two brothers, George Aldridge and Danny Aldridge; and three brothers-in-law, Gene Hall, Iven Wrenn and “Buggs” Parrott.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 Friday, December 18, 2020 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Caswell Ward Cemetery by Bishop Danny Ouzts.  Polly will be available for public viewing from 12:00 – 5:00 PM Thursday afternoon at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her loving caregivers, Hayleigh, Jordyn, Matthew, Cierra, Angel and the staff of Brookdale Memory Care for their loving care during Polly’s illness.
