Rachel Wilson

Rachel Porter Wilson, 82, formerly of Burlington, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at Patrick County Memorial Hospital following four years of failing health. She was the wife of the late Clyde Wilson and the daughter of the late Melvin Seth Thomas Porter and the late Emma Poole Porter. Rachel was a native of Alamance County and retired from P. Lorillard Tobacco Company. Survivors include her daughter Sylvia Spencer and her husband Ted of Lawsonville, NC, sons; Dennis Honeycutt of Raeford, NC, Dannie Honeycutt and his wife Mary of Burlington, sisters; Dorothy Simpson of Burlington, Myrtle Starling and her husband Grady of Burlington, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven brothers; Frank Porter, Pearl Porter, Paul Porter, Odell Porter, Ollie Porter, Grady Porter and Arthur Porter. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jim Churchwell. Interment will follow in Graham memorial Park.
