Ralph Apple

Mr. Ralph Forrest Apple, 83, of 2719 Apple Little Rd. died on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at Moses Cone Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Pauline Apple and the late Eudora Merritt Apple. He was the son of the late Joseph J. Apple and the late Mary Alice Page Apple Shepherd. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gibsonville. He was a retired farmer and was elected to serve on the ASC committee. Survivors include his daughter Donna Apple Talbert of Gibsonville, a grandson Roger Preston Talbert Jr., and wife Frances of Hamlet, NC., a great granddaughter Laura Ashley Talbert , a great grandson Nicholas Lee Talbert. A step-daughter Connie Woody and husband Dean, step-son Jerry Merritt and wife Brenda , three step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Lowell Apple, half brothers Morris, Arnold, Joe, Clyde, and Robert Apple. Half-sisters Myrtle Peebles, Mary Fitch, and Julia Jackson. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, by Brian Ayers. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
