Reba Lee Meadows Davis, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, departed this world peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025 at her Whitsett residence surrounded by her family. Born on April 17, 1951, in the town of Bluefield, West Virginia. Reba graced the lives of everyone she encountered with her warmth and nurturing spirit.
As a devoted caregiver, Reba embodied the essence of selflessness. Her home was a sanctuary, a place where love was served generously alongside her carefully prepared meals. She took immense joy in cooking, ensuring that no one ever left her table hungry. Even amidst her many obligations, she always found the time to be there for family and friends, holding a special place in their hearts.
In the realm of her professional journey, Reba navigated various paths. Her career spanned from retail to substitute teacher within the Burlington school system. Reba had a candle business she took from craft shows to mall kiosks to a store at the beach. She ultimately retired from LabCorp, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and hard work that touched many lives.
Reba found her love when she married Curtis Eldon Davis on September 19, 1970. Their nearly 55 years of marriage are characterized by a profound bond, built upon love, understanding, and a shared commitment to their family. Together, they raised their children, son Joshua and daughter Geneve Davis, imparting the values of compassion and resilience that will forever echo in their lives.
Reba is survived by her sister, Ellen Smith, and her nieces, Heather Williams and Elizabeth Lilly, and her great niece and nephews Liam, Ammalyn, Emeren, Malachi and Blayden, all of whom she loved immensely and will carry her spirit within them.
While she now reunites with her dearly departed parents, Walter Judson Meadows and Peggy Jane Belcher. She was preceded in death by her special friends, Evelyn, Linda and Eunice. Her legacy lives on in the stories shared, the meals prepared, and the countless memories created with those she loved. Reba Lee Meadows Davis was a beautiful soul whose impact will be felt by generations to come, leaving behind a tapestry woven with love, care, and an unyielding spirit that embraced life in all its fullness.
