Reba Ward Rouanzion

Sep 9, 1928 — Jun 30, 2026

With deep respect and loving remembrance, we announce the peaceful passing of Reba Ward Rouanzion, who departed this life on June 30, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on September 9, 1928, Reba lived a long and meaningful life that touched the hearts of all those who knew her.

Reba was the cherished daughter of Albert Chester Ward and Nettie W. Ward, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also the beloved sister of her late brother, A. Frank Ward. Reba built her own family and legacy alongside her dear husband, Donald Ray Rouanzion, with whom she shared many years until his passing. Together, they raised children and created a home marked by love, kindness, and strong family values.

Reba is survived by her devoted daughter, Deborah Underwood (Otis), and her loving son, Harvey Brandon Buffkin; grandchildren, Harvey Brandon Buffkin, Jr. (Tina), Christopher Buffkin (Rachel); a special friend, Helen. She was preceded in death by a son, Monty Buffkin. The enduring bonds within her family brought her comfort and joy throughout her life, and she took immense pride in the achievements and character of her children.

As we reflect on Reba’s remarkable 97 years, we remember her as an outgoing and feisty person that loved being around family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling. Reba loved working at the VA Hospital where she met her late husband, Don. We will honor the values she upheld and the legacy of kindness and dedication she leaves behind.

Details regarding memorial or funeral services will be shared with family and friends as they become available. As we grieve her loss, we hold close the love and lessons Reba imparted and remain ever grateful for her lasting influence. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
