Fayetteville – Renata Redden Garrett, 47, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 6, 1977 in Alamance County to the late Ronald Harry Redden and Olean Greeson Redden who survives. Renata was the wife of 13 years to Samuel “Levi” Garrett of the home.
Renata recently celebrated a 20-year anniversary working at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, where she initially supported the Quality Operations departments and most recently served as a Manufacturing Processing Engineer supporting Manufacturing Operations. She took great pride in her work, as she did with all she performed in life.
Renata was the toughest and strongest of individuals, with the largest of hearts and a kind and infectious smile that would light up any room. Though she deserved so much more out of life than she received, she was always selfless and finding ways to help others, making for a much brighter world for those around her. Her actions left a permanent and positive impression on every life she touched.
She had a passionate love for animals and children. Every year she enjoyed donating to “The Angel Tree” Program during Christmas, often taking on multiple families at once. She would continue to monitor the tree and routinely helped support any Angels that looked to be remaining as the deadline approached. She also enjoyed monitoring multiple pet programs and facilities, generously donating and doing her best to help ensure animals in need received the best care possible. Likewise, she was always ready to participate in fund drives and other activities that supported the children of her friends and family.
Survivors other than her husband, Levi Garrett and her mother, Olean Greeson Redden include her sister, Rhonda Harris and husband Brian; a niece, Katlin Harris; brothers-in-law, Luke Garrett and wife Teresa, and Jamie Benton; a nephew, Gavin Garrett; her father-in-law, Dennis Garrett and her two feline companions, Bella and Emma. Renata was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Harry Redden and her mother-in-law, Ruby Dolores Garrett.
The funeral service to celebrate the life of Renata will be held at 2:00pm Friday, June 14, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mark Robertson with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12pm to 1:45pm Friday prior to the service.
