BURLINGTON- Rev. Earl Edward Faircloth, age 82, of 907 Fix St., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Hospice Home after several weeks of failing health. Earl was born on November 27, 1927 in Alamance County and was the son of the late Willie B. "Pop" Faircloth and the late Myrtle Odell Thornton Faircloth and was married for over 63 years to Mrs. Annie Lee Moser Faircloth, who died in 2009. Earl was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and worked at Glen Raven Mills for over 25 years before retiring with Torque Elastics. He was a member of God's House of Deliverance where he served as the Pastor for 13 years. Mr. Faircloth is survived by two sons, Larry Faircloth of Burlington and Randy Faircloth and his wife, Pam, of Altamahaw; a daughter, Dawn Burns and her husband, Duane, of Burlington; four grandchildren, Chad Faircloth, Tanya Warren, Rebecca Burns, and Joshua Burns; three great grandchildren, Tyler Faircloth, Ethan Faircloth, and Morgan Faircloth; and a sister, Betty Jean Hancock of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a grandson, Scott Faircloth; a granddaughter, Jennifer Faircloth; two sisters, Dolores Wright and Shirley Light; and two brothers, W. Glenn Faircloth and Donald Faircloth. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 5, 2010 at God's house of Deliverance by Rev. Bobby Fann and Rev. Gerald Counts. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home.
