Richard "Bubba" Anthony Clapp

 

Richard “Bubba”Anthony Clapp, 64, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2022 at his home with his family by his side.  He was born May 4, 1958 in Alamance County to the late Buddy Dexter and Annie Lorraine Stephenson Clapp.  

 

Bubba worked most of his life as an Electrician with AC Corporation.  Family was the most important part of his life.  The love of wagon trains and his wagon train family is where he enjoyed spending most of his time and spending time in his shop working on classic cars and trucks. Bubba was a jack of all trades but a master of none!

 

Bubba is survived by his wife, Melody Clapp of the home for forty years; mother-in-law, Pearl Barber; daughters: Lori Woodlief (James), Katie Strickland and Emogene Long (Gary Lee); grandchildren: Trace, Haylee, Alyssa, Sagen, and Dalton; sisters: Leatrice Brothers, Debbie Marsh, Gail Wyrick, Emily Overman (Earley), and Beth Hill (Tim); brothers:  Dexter Clapp (Vickie), Timmy Clapp, Alan Clapp, Pee Wee Philip Clapp, and Josh Clapp (Angel); and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Along with his parents, Bubba was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Clapp. 

 

The celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Brick Reformed Church.  The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home.

 

Memorial donations may be made to Alamance Cancer Center, 1236 Huffman Mill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 and Hospice of Alamance County, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215. A special thanks is extended to all the ladies at the Cancer Center for their loving care and support.
