Richard Harper

Richard Keith Harper, 80, passed away October 31, 2016 at Moses Cone Hospital following a brief illness. He was born November 7, 1935 in Wayne County, NC to the late Jack and Neta Harper and he was married to the late Geneva Ellen King Harper. Richard was a member of New Testament Baptist Church and he owned and operated Handi-Label. He loved his Lord, family and making labels.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Ritchie) Dickerson; son, Brian Harper; grandchildren, Brittany Harper, Spencer Harper, Madison Rivers, Nate Rivers; special friend, Joyce "Joy" Loy; special people almost like children, Ric Bruton and Sarah Iseley; sisters, Jackie Pritchette, Mary Myrick, Patricia Smith and a brother, Floyd Harper. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and several siblings.
The celebration of his life will be held 3:00 PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ken Jackson. The family will receive friends following the service.
