Richard Jones-LeGros

Richard Marc Jones-LeGros, age 63, of 312 Cheeks Lane, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Hospice Home. A native of Iowa City, Iowa, he was the husband of Tara Angelle Jones-LaGros and son of John Richard and Patricia Ann Partlow Jones. Marc was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and co-owner of J & L Bicycle Company. He was a Certified Safety Engineer, an Air Force veteran serving in Vietnam and a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics and the Greensboro Radio Aeromodeler's flying club among others. Survivors include his wife Tara Jones-LeGros of the home; son, Todd Austin Jones of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; parents, John Richard and Patricia Ann Partlow Jones of Des Moines, Iowa; siblings, Suzanne Volkmer-Jones and husband Steve of Des Moines, Iowa, William "Bill" Jones and wife Fancye of Farragut, Tennessee, David Ducharme-Jones and wife Annie of Austin, Texas and Sarah Shiveley and husband Rick of Council Bluff, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Rev. Paul Gabriel, OFM Conv. Marc will remain at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory until being taken to the church for services. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8pm Friday with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm.
