EARL NORRIS Richard Earl Norris, Sr. age 67, of 4169 Swannie Coble Rd., passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at his home. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Charlie Gattis and Eunice Faith Montgomery Norris. Earl was a self employed heavy equipment operator and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his two sons, Charles Jay Norris and wife Ann of Siler City and Richard Earl Norris, Jr. of Pittsboro; former wife and mother of his children, Brenda Ray Norris; grandchildren, Justin Tyler Norris and Kayla Raye Norris and step grandchildren, Daniel Charles Norris and James Preston Norris; brothers, Charlie Gattis Norris, Jr. and wife Edna, Maurice Fred Norris and wife Patricia, Marvin Jerry Norris and wife Rosa, Cecil Larry Norris and wife Linda, Carl Edward Norris, Danny Eugene Norris and wife Cindy and Tony Howard Norris and wife Mary Jean all of Burlington, William Coy Norris and wife Renate of Wilmington; sisters, Emma Elizabeth Overman and Jean Carol Scott and husband Craig all of Burlington; brother in law, Ray Mitchell and Earl's special friend, Ruthann Quave. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Annie Louise Surles and Patsy Lee Mitchell; brothers, Wayne Marshall Norris and Kenneth Sidney Norris. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, January 19, 2013 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Kenneth Godair and Rev. Richard Silver. Interment will follow in St. Mark's Church Cemetery. Mr. Norris will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8pm Friday.
