Robin Payne

Robin Barbee Payne, 54, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 4, 2021 at ARMC. She was a native of Alamance County and the daughter of the late Ronald Wayne and Nellie Williams Barbee who survives. She was the wife of Barry Keith Payne who survives.

Robin was the owner of and operator of a Family Fare Francise. She grew up attending New Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to races at Ace Speedway and taking car trips through the country. Robin was an exceptional cook and loved sharing meals with her family and friends. She was a loving daughter, grandmother, sister and wife and never met a stranger.

Survivors include husband, Barry Keith Payne of the home; daughters, Ashley Cardwell and Laura Capps both of Burlington; mother, Nellie Williams Barbee of Burlington; grandchildren, Blake Salvato and Wesley Capps; sisters, Sherry Parvin and husband, Harry of Graham and Melody Montgomery and husband, Rex of Burlington; sister-in-law, Tammy Ingle Barbee of Gibsonville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Wayne Barbee and her brother, Terry Wayne Barbee.

A Celebration of her life will be held at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Randy Hobbs at 2:00pm on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. The burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Tuesday at Lowe Funeral home and Crematory and other times at the home of her mother.
