Rodney Modlin

Mebane-Rodney Starr Modlin, 52, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018. He was a native of Alamance County and the son of Billy Wayne Modlin and the late Judy Gates Modlin.
Rodney was the owner and operator of Starr Coating. He was a member of Lamb's Chapel and a devoted to his family. He was an avid Duke fan and he enjoyed fishing, shooting and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Loftin Modlin of the home; daughter, Emma Sue Modlin of the home and sons, Edward Hartwell Modlin and William Starr Modlin both of the home; father, Billy Wayne Modlin and step mother, Edna Modlin of Burlington; sister, B. J. Smith and husband, Randy of Burlington and a brother, Jimmy Cutler of Mebane.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory by Minister, Robbie Owens. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
