Ronnie Clayton Faucette, affectionately known as "Paw & Hank”, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 1, 2026, at Select Medical Hospital. Born on September 1, 1951, in Alamance County, Ronnie lived a life rich in love, hard work, and cherished relationships.
He began his career at Samet Construction in 1992, dedicating himself to the craft he loved until his retirement in 2015 due to health challenges. Throughout his years at the Corporation, Ronnie was known not only for his skills but also for his unwavering kindness and readiness to lend a helping hand. He was truly the person everyone called when they needed assistance, always willing to show up and be there for others.
Ronnie's family was his world. He shared nearly 49 years of marriage with his devoted wife, Lelia Jane Snead Faucette, his children, Rebecca Boersma, James Aubrey Faucette (Christen Lynn), and Kimberly Diane Hendry (David). His love extended further to his grandchildren, each one holding a special place in his heart: Amanda Marmol (Joey), Zachary Clayton Stead (Christopher), Quentin Rhoades, Dawson Rhoades, Zoey Elizabeth Rhoades, Eli Tufts, Piper Faucette, Maggie Whitfield, and Reagan and Ella Sharpe, along with Clayton Faucette and Chloe Hendry. Ronnie was also surrounded by a supportive family that included his mother, Donnan Parkerson Faucette, and his sister, Diane "Cisse" Griffin (Don). As well as, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Otis Faucette, his brothers Jim and Jerry Faucette, and his son-in-law, Johan Boersma. Ronnie had a variety of interests that brought him joy, including fishing, playing golf, reading about history—especially World War I and World War II—and building and fixing things. He also enjoyed the thrill of RC Model Cars, embracing hobbies that allowed him to connect with both nature and creativity.
As we gather to celebrate Ronnie's life, let us remember the countless ways he made a difference in our lives, the love he freely gave, and the bonds he forged. His spirit will forever forever live on in the memories shared and the love he instilled in those he cherished.
