Rosa Slaton Lougee

March 18, 1950 — December 9, 2023

Rosa Slaton Lougee, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at ARMC. She was a native of Alamance County and the daughter of the late Marvin Reddin and Vallie Horner Slaton. She was the wife of the late Boyd Dean Lougee who passed in 2018.

Rosa helped her husband in his video business and was a caretaker for her parents and others in her family over the years. She was a member of Faith Worship & Healing Center. Rosa was an excellent cook and enjoyed arranging flowers. She appreciated good music and her favorite artists were Elvis Presley and Conway Twitty. She was devoted to her family and was proudest of being a Maw Maw and great Maw Maw.

Rosa is survived by her daughter, Deana L. Maskill and husband, Ray of Mebane; grandchildren, Tony Morris and wife, Tabby, Tyler Morris and wife Breanna and Trinity Morris all of Mebane; great grandchildren, Jaxxon and Brysen Morris; her sister, Sallie Wrenn of Burlington and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Scotty Morris and her brothers, Bobby and Ernest Slaton.

A graveside service to celebrate Rosa’s life will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Pine Hill Cemetery by Pastor Joel Jackson.
