Ryan "Brink" Keith Brinkley

Ryan “Brink” Keith Brinkley, 48, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, July 17, 2026. He was born in Alamance County on February 15, 1978 to the late David Keith Brinkley and Linda Holtzclaw Brinkley who survives; and was a loving husband to Lauren Brandt Brinkley of the home.

Ryan was employed as a chef in the Food Service Department with UNC Hospital, Hillsborough Campus. He was an avid Tarheel fan, who enjoyed cooking and grilling for his family and friends. A very proud dad to his daughter and son; and proud uncle to his nephew. Ryan never met a stranger and was so kind to everyone, a “Gentle Giant” you could say. But his proudest accomplishment was his family.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lauren Brandt Brinkley; a daughter, Vada (9) and a son, Carter (5); his mother, Linda Holtzclaw Brinkley; a sister, Kelly Brinkley; a nephew, Parker Harpin; his In-laws, Channing and Rick Davenport, and Rick and Kim Brandt; and his extended family on Lauren’s side.

Ryan has now been reunited with his beloved father, David Keith Brinkley; maternal grandparents, Albert “Al” and Becky Holtzclaw; and paternal grandparents, Howard and Katherine Brinkley who have preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
