Sara Terry

Sara Braswell Terry, 82, of 2250 Phibbs Rd. passed away suddenly Monday, November 28, 2005 at her home. She was the widow of the late Rev. Albert Gaston Terry, Sr. and the daughter of the late William Charleston and Maggie Slade Braswell. Sara was a native of Chatham Co., retired from Blue Bell in High Point, a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church and a former member of Hico Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter Gleness McDonald and her husband Aubrey of Elon, sons; Albert G. Terry, Jr. and his wife Jeanette of Spartanburg, SC, J. Wayne Terry and his wife Linda of Thomasville, NC, seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one step great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son William H. Bill Terry, parents, sisters; Carrie Lemons, Lillie Fields, Beulah Braswell, Ruby Fields, brothers; Willie Braswell, Clyde Braswell and Kelly Braswell. The funeral will be held 10:00 AM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Denny Wall, Rev. Bobby Fann and Rev. Frank Gribble. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home of her daughter Gleness 1707 Powerline Rd., Elon Condolences may be sent to the family at info@lowefuneralhome.com
