Shannon Pugh Moorefield, 49, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of 26 years to Jason Moorefield who survives.
Shannon was a 1992 graduate of Williams High School. She was employed for 29 years with LabCorp. Shannon was a member of Friendly Lane Baptist Church and she lived out her faith, especially during her battle with cancer. She enjoyed serving and helping others and was devoted to her family. Shannon loved fishing and cooking for church fellowships. Her greatest joy was supporting her children in all their activities. Shannon loved Christmas and celebrated it 365 days of the year. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister.
She is survived by her husband, Jason Moorefield of the home; daughter, Madison Faith Moorefield and Dylan Chase Moorefield both of the home; mother, Terry C. Pugh of Burlington; sister, Shelley May Royer and husband, Kenneth James Royer of Gibsonville; brother, Darrick Scott Pugh and wife, Carmen Marie Pugh of Burlington; aunts, Vicki Waters of Burlington, Ja Ja Smallwood and husband, Kenny of Burlington, Melba Ginsberg of Florida and Ruby Blackburn of Texas; uncle, Bo Bryan and wife, Lynne of Durham; nieces, Kristen, Corinne, Rachel, Willow, Addie and Zoe; nephews, Jansen, Ryan, Matthew, Tyler “Bobo”, Alec, Julian, Harrison, Connor, Jayce, Gunner and Hunter; her canine companion, “Harley” and her feline companion, “Mr. Meowghi”. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard A. Pugh.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Friendly Lane Baptist Church in Burlington by Pastor Craig Cox.
