Shirley Grubb Journigan, 78, passed away Thursday at her home. She was born March 8, 1944 in Durham County, NC to the late William Harrison and Mary Jane Beaver Grubb and was married to the late Buren “Shorty” Journigan for 54 years.

She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Sharon, Ray and wife, Debbie, Christine and Michael; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings, Frank, Bill, Authur, Ross, Ray, Louise, Katherine and Virginia,

The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. James Black. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. She will be available for public viewing on Wednesday from 8am-1:45pm prior to the service.
