Shirley Moize

Mrs. Shirley Mae Moize, age 73, of 7262 Howerton Rd. passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010 after several months of failing health at the home of her son while being surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Orange County, she was the daughter of the late Turner Pete Moize and Margaret Shambley Moize. She had a long career in the textile industry, was a homemaker and worshiped in the Baptist faith. She was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother. Mrs. Moize is survived by her seven children, Troy "Gene" Moize of Liberty, Janet "Sissy" Barnes and her husband, Donnie, of Chapel Hill, Linda Shaw and her husband, Jerry, of Graham, Tim Moize and his wife, Cindy, of Gibsonville, Jimmy Moize of Graham, Danny Moize of Gibsonville and Angel Moize Woods of Burlington; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; five sisters, Hazel Saunders, Judy Truitt, Vivian Eastwood, Brenda Jarovih and Ruth Jones; two brothers, Bobby Moize and Turner Moize; and lifelong companion, Troy Grubb of Denton. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Christine King, Mildred Walters and Mary Catherine Moize. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Walter Jones. Interment will follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 Friday evening and other times at the home of her son, Troy, 5707 Kimesville Rd., Liberty.
