Shirley Hurt Oliver
Shirley Hurt Oliver, 71, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Danville, VA to the late John Lawson Hurt, Jr. and Barbara Martin Morrison and was married for 35 years to Tommy Oliver who survives.
Shirley worked as a supervisor at Kmart for 24 years. She loved to read and spend time with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Candice Dollar (Wade); son, Kevin Smith (Candice) fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers, Michael Hurt, Keith Hurt; and a stepsister, Donna Christopher. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Mark King and Steven Hurt and a brother, Danny Hurt.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Walter Webster. There will be a private burial. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Candice.
