Shirley Rice

Shirley Glasgow Rice, 55, of Wilmington passed away Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice following 2 years of failing health. She was the wife of the late Rev. james William Rice and the daughter of the late Linwood and Anna Mae Perkerson Glasgow. Shirley was a retired attorney and a member of Beacon Baptist Church and Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters; Angelia Edwards of Wilmington, Theresa Borugian and her husband Ben of Kernersville, Sharon Rice of Angier, grandchildren; Jeff Edwards, Chandler Edwards, Austin Rice, Amya Rice, Nicholas Borugian, Natalie Borugian, sisters; Phyllis Ward of South Boston, VA, Gail Glasgow of Prospect Hill, brothers; Michael Glasgow of Burlington and Dale Glasgow of Mebane. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Beacon Baptist Church by Rev. Gregory N. Barkman, assisted by Pastor Micky Easterling.
