Steven D. Reeves, 72, of Gibsonville passed away November 13, 2022 after declining health.  He was born in Alamance county to the late George T. Reeves and Lola Garrison Reeves.  He was the devoted husband of 44 years to Debbie Reeves who survives.

Steve graduated from Gibsonville High School.  He entered the Air Force and was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War.  After his service, he worked for the United States Government while pursuing an associate degree in electronics.  Upon graduation, he worked in electronics for several companies.

Steve had a private pilot license and enjoyed flying in his younger days.  He was a collector of vintage chainsaws, enjoyed cooking and watching old westerns.

He is survived by two sons, Jay Woodruff and Joel Reeves; two granddaughters, Haylen Reeves and Amelia Reeves; two sisters, Gayle Holopainen and Debbie Frazier (Steve), three sisters-in-law, Judy Ward (Jess), Eileen Anderson, Denise Garber (Rob) and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 18, 2022 at Alamance Memorial Park by Pastor Darrell Massey.  The family requests that everyone attending please wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice that helps the homeless or a food pantry.
