Susie Fay Huffines Yoder

Susie Fay Huffines Yoder, 81, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. A native of Alamance County, born on January 9, 1944 in Glen Raven, NC. Susie was the daughter of the late Jennings Mahlon and Eva Lena Bland Huffines and was married for over 62 years to Jimmy Yoder, who survives.

Susie was a longtime beloved member of Baptist Temple where she was a member of the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class. She enjoyed working with the Seniors at church doing arts and crafts. Susie and her husband, Jimmy loved to travel and see the world together.

Susie is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Yoder; sister, Linda Agnew; nephews, Rodney Agnew, Mark Huffines and Brian Huffines; nieces, Anita Wharton, Angie Huffines and Kayla Huffines; grandchildren: Sidney Leann Beckham and Morgan Beckham, Dean Dodson and Dustin Dodson; and her honorary family: Coralee Dodson, Donna Dodson, David Oakley, Dudley Oakley, Deanna Dodson Beckham, and Danette Dodson Steelmon. She was preceded in death by her son; Jimmy Dean “Little Jim” Yoder; parents: Jennings Mahlon and Eva Lena Huffines; and her siblings, Joseph Mahlon Huffines and Randy Edwards Huffines.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Baptist Temple officiated by Dr. Donald Carter and Rev. David Carter with the graveside to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:30 – 12:15 prior to the service at the church.
