Burlington Tammy Powers Mrs. Tammy Thompson Powers, age 22, of 1400 Roslyn Dr., passed away Tuesday October 31, 2006 in Carroll County, VA. A native of Alamance County, she was wife of Jeffrey Lynn Powers and daughter of Ronald E. and Peggy Hall Thompson. She attended Brookwood Baptist Church and was employed by Pet Smart. She was active in the Alamance County Humane Society and with the Greyhound Adoption Agency. Survivors include her husband Jeffrey Lynn Powers of the home; daughter, Destiny Nicole Powers; son, Chandler Eugene Powers both of the home; parents, Ronald Eugene and Peggy Hall Thompson of Burlington; brother, David Russell Thompson of Pittsboro; sisters, Deborah Russell Battle of Durham and Andrea Russell Carrick of Burlington; grandmother, Margaret Russell of Hamstead and grandfather Bobby Moore of Altamahaw. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Eva and Javey Hall; Lonnie and Ruth Thompson and Doris Moore. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday November 3, 2006 at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend Terry Huffines. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. Mrs. Powers will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Thursday and at other times at the home of her parents, 336 North NC 87, Burlington, NC.
