Tex Rich

Tex Rich, 79, passed away on February 3, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Vance Glenmore Rich, Sr. and Winnie Mae Waller Rich. Tex was employed for 44 years with Kayser Roth. He was a member of Kerr’s Chapel Church. Tex had a huge heart, his calm demeanor and humble nature made him such a lovable person. You never knew when he was having a bad day, he didn’t believe in complaining. He looked at every day being a gift. He loved the Lord and enjoyed his church family, and loved every minute he was able to spend with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandson.

Tex is survived by his wife of 55 years Sandra Rascoe Rich of the home. He is also survived by his two sons, Barry and wife Dawn, of Burlington and Jason of the home; two grandchildren, Hannah and husband Cristian Mireles and Connor; great grandson, Luka Mireles; sister, Shelby Jean Perry. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rosalyn Coble and brother Vance Glenmore Rich, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Kerr’s Chapel Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:45PM to 2:45PM prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. The family will be at the residence at other times, 203 Rascoe Dameron Road Burlington, NC 27217
