Mrs. Thelma Mae Long Terrell, age 87, formerly of 297 Christopher Dr., passed away Sunday July 22, 2007 at Alamance Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Earl Elen Terrell and daughter of the late Ernest and Hallie Oakley Long. She was retired from Triad Hosiery and a long time member of Beverly Hills United Church of Christ. Survivors include her son, Richard Terrell and wife Jackie of Graham; grand daughter, Wendy Swank and husband Steve of Burlington; 3 great grandchildren, Elin, E merson and Ava; sister, Alene Shepard of Burlington; brothers, Billy Long of High Point and Johnny Long of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, sisters, Irene Black, Louise Lashley and Inez Page and one grandson, Brent Terrell. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Reid Dickens and Rev. Bennie Smith. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mrs. Terrell will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Monday and at other times at the home of the son, Richard Terrell; 910 Stonehaven Dr., Graham.
