Thomas Tinsley Ezzell

Thomas Tinsley Ezzell, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 20, 2026 at the Hospice Home. A native of Alamance County, he was born August 29, 1934 to the late Tinsley Cheek Ezzell and Eula Mann Ezzell and was the husband of 69 years to the late Evelyn Jeanette Cooper Ezzell.

Thomas was a longtime member of Riverdale Baptist Church where he served as deacon, usher, greeter and sang in the church choir. He was employed in the textile industry for years, most recently retiring from CULP, Inc. On the side, Thomas specialized in small engine repair, auto body repair, paint work and any other mechanical work he could get his hands on. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending his spare time outdoors.

Survivors include his daughter, Debbie E. Saunders and her husband Dean of Mebane; his grandchildren, Christie Sneed and her husband Carson and Steven Saunders; step grandchild, Ricky Saunders and his wife Kasey; great grandchildren, Braxton Saunders, Bailey Saunders, Rylee Sneed and Rhett Sneed; step great grandchildren, Jordan Harless, Blake Saunders and Ashlynn Saunders. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, Johnny Ezzell and Jerry Ezzell; and sisters, Nancy Johnson and Peggy Rogers.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Johnathan Graves with the burial to follow at Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:30 – 12:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
