Thomas Harrison Marshall

Thomas Harrison “Tom” Marshall, 77, of Elon passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Pulaski, VA to the late Harrison Simon Marshall and the late Lola Opal Ogle Marshall and was married for 55 years to Joan Stephenson Marshall who survives.

He was a pilot and loved flying, especially in his own personal plane. He was a US Army and Vietnam veteran serving as a member of Jag Corps and Maritime Mechanics. Tom worked for Hertz Equipment Rental and later retired from the National Health Institute at Research Triangle Park.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Joan; daughters, Tammy and her husband George, Mardia and her husband, Marc; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a sister, Sylvia Carpentier.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2026. at the family homestead.
