Timmy Light

Timmy Lee Light, 61, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.  He was born on April 1, 1960 in Alamance County to the late Cecil Theodore Light and Shirley Jeanette Faircloth Light.

He retired after 30 years with AO Smith.  Timmy attended New Life Church of God, he loved animals, and he enjoyed watching sports mostly football and basketball.

Survivors include his brother, Jeffrey “Jeff” Light; a sister, Paula Kim Ward; his step children, Desarae Perla and Mark Lesseur; nieces, April Payne and husband Steven and Dana Way and husband Rodney; a nephew, Jonathan Ward and wife Terry; six great nieces and nephews, one great great niece, and his two canine companions that he adored, Poppy and Maverick.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his maternal grandmother, Odell Thornton Faircloth.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, May 27, 2021 at New Life Church of God by Pastor Russ Faircloth.  The family will receive friends following the service at Steve and Jill Faircloth’s home, 1159 N. Riverview Drive, Burlington, NC 27217.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lowe Funeral Home c/o Timmy Light’s Funeral Expense, 2205 S. Church Street, Burlington, NC 27215.
