Veronica Rivers

Veronica "Bonnie" Hill Rivers, 68, of St. Regis Dr. went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, July 6, 2011. She was married to Charlie "Bo" Rivers and was born June 27, 1943 in Alamance County, NC to the late Elmo and Ethel Mitchell Hill. She was a active member of World of Pentecost Church. Bonnie loved her family and took great care of them, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband of the home; son, Michael Rivers and his wife Connie of Burlington; daughter, Windy Sykes and her husband Larry of Burlington, a daughter-in-law Wendy Rivers, seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren, sisters; Doris Stultz of Burlington, Nancy Chrismon of Gibsonville, Peggy Handy and her husband Albert of Mebane and a brother Guy Hill and his wife Marie. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Timothy "Tim" Rivers and a sister Melba Pegram. The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2011 at World of Pentecost Church in Graham by Pastor Kenny Godair. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of Wendy Rivers, 2148 Troendly St. Memorials may be made to World of Pentecost Church, 1935 Hanford Rd., Burlington, NC 27215
