Vincent Darrell Reed, 49, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 20, 1976 in Suffolk County, NY. A cherished member of the community and a devoted servant of God, Vincent was a vibrant soul whose presence brightened the lives of all who knew him.
Vincent had a successful career and was currently employed with Duke University Health System as a Customer Service Associate, where he dedicated himself to helping others. His kindness did not end with his profession; it extended into every aspect of his life. He found great joy in grilling out and hosting cookouts with his family and friends, creating lifelong memories filled with laughter and delicious food. A passionate music lover, he enjoyed going to concerts, playing the drums, the piano and horns, this brought both excitement and inspiration into his life. Vincent was a former Drum Line Instructor for varies high schools in the community.
As a member of World of Pentecost, Vincent's faith guided him in all he did. His strong belief and dedication to his church community were evident in everything from his volunteer efforts to the love he shared with his family. The family now holds precious memories of time spent together on family cruise trips and adventure-filled days of four wheeling.
Vincent is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Shauna Marie Brunson Reed; his cherished children, Bryanna Kambray Reed, Bryce Reed and his wife Adia Monet Massey Reed, Brayden Reed and his wife Kayley Marie Becker Reed, and Brinnay Qiana Reed; grandchildren that he adored, Braddix Kade Reed, Kylan Saige Reed, and a grandson on the way, who will carry on his legacy.
He leaves behind his mother, Delores Ann Cherry Reed, who has supported him through every step of his journey. Vincent is also survived by his sisters, Latonda Cherry and Crystal Slade and her husband Curtis, as well as his brother, Canar Plummer. The love shared among these siblings was a source of strength and joy in Vincent's life, further enriched by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles who will forever remember him with warm hearts.
Vincent has now been reunited with his father, Samuel Henry Reed, and his infant son, Bradycks Qaden Reed, both of whom he missed dearly. Their spirits remain with him, watching over the family he loved so profoundly.
The funeral service to celebrate the life of Vincent will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, February 21, 2026 at World of Pentecost by Rev. Kenny Godair. Vincent will be carried to the church on Saturday at 12:45pm for a public viewing prior to the service. The burial will follow the service at Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday evening at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
Vincent Darrell Reed will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends.
