Virginia “Jinnie” Brooks Cagle, 70, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Alamance County and the daughter of the late James Franklin and Hannah Lou Horner Brooks. She was the wife of the late Charles “Chuck” Cagle.
Jinnie retired as a warehouse manager of a mail order company. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She enjoyed working outdoors in her yard and her two dachshunds, “Artimus” and “Buster”. Jinnie was a loving and devoted wife, “Momma” and “Mi Mi” and sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristen Alvarado and husband, David of Graham; grandchildren, Cayden Alvarado and Savannah Alvarado; her sisters, Hellen Ellington of Eli Whitney and Wanda Davis of New Bern; her brothers, James Alvin Brooks and wife, Peggy of liberty and Jeff Brooks and wife, Twink of Saxapahaw; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 11:00Am at Graham Memorial Park by Rev. Jerry Flood. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 2-4PM at her home in Graham.
