Warren Baker

Elon, NC Warren Lee Baker, age 77, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2009 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Caswell County and the husband of 60 years to Nancy Whitaker Baker who survives. Lee retired after over 30 years with the Department of Defense. He was a member of Shallow Ford Christian Church and a former member of the Elon Exchange club. Lee was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Nancy W. Baker of the home; son, Tim Baker and his wife, Kathy of Elon and a granddaughter, Amanda Baker. He was preceded in death by his parents. Thomas Warren and Lila Smith Baker. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Elon. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the son's home.
