Wesla Frankie Shoffner, 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at her residence. She was born on October 14, 1954 in Alamance County to the late William Franklin Shoffner, Jr. and Lucy Rae Euliss Shoffner. Wesla lived a life marked by independence, warmth, and devotion, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her.
Wesla was the proud owner and operator of Wesla’s Trim Works, a business she nurtured with the same dedication that characterized every endeavor she undertook. Before opening her own shop, she applied her strength and skill in construction and embraced the rewarding challenges of farming—true to her heart as a farmer at her core.
A free spirit with a personality as vibrant as her fur boots, which she wore all year round, Wesla was known for her unique blend of rugged independence and tender care. She delighted in simple pleasures such as working in her yard, riding motorcycles with a youthful and nurturing her passion for model trains and muscle cars—interests that spoke to her playful, adventurous nature. Yet, she also enjoyed moments of pampering, never missing a chance to get her fingernails, hair, and make-up done, reflecting her graceful balance of strength and beauty. A lover of the beach, Wesla found solace and joy in the rhythm of the waves, embodying the free-flowing essence of a life lived fully and freely. Her warmth and care touched many, and her independent spirit was a beacon to her family and friends alike.
Wesla's family was her greatest achievement. She is survived by her loving children, a son, Chase Walker Shoffner and his wife Darrian, and her daughter, Mia Gabrielle Shoffner Maulden and her husband Bobby, and a grand baby on the way; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins who shaped her early years.
The graveside service to celebrate Wesla’s life will be held at 3:00PM Friday, April 24, 2026 at Alamance Memorial Park by Pastor Reid Dickens. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:30 PM Friday prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory.
Wesla Frankie Shoffner's journey may have come to a close, but her legacy of love, strength, and vibrant spirit endures in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. You may send condolences to the family and watch the video online at www.lowefuneralhome.com
