Wilbert Thomas Ashley

Mr. Wilbert Thomas Ashley, age 84, of Burlington, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at his residence after several months failing health.

     Born in Person County, NC, he was the son of the late Eugene Collier Ashley and the late Phyllis Lorena Gregory Ashley.  Wilbert was a retired truck driver and enjoyed spending time with his family.

     Mr. Ashley is survived by his four children, Phyllis Campbell, Vickie Reynolds, Gail Augustine and husband, Fred, and Robert Ashley; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard Ashley and Ronald Ashley.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dennis Ashley; a great grandson, Lincoln; and a sister, Frances Woods.

     The family will be hosting a memorial gathering from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Mr. Ashley’s residence.
