William Faulkner

Burlington, NC William Keith Faulkner, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at ARMC surrounded by his family. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 53 years to Faye Jackson Faulkner who survives. Keith retired as an independent sales rep in the hospitality industry. He played baseball at Pfeiffer College and was a graduate of Appalachian State University. Keith was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church and a member of the Friendship Sunday School class. He was a veteran of the US Army and enjoyed playing golf in his spare time. Keith was a friend to every one he met and his radiant smile was a testimony to his Christian character. Survivors include his wife, Faye Jackson Faulkner of the home; daughter, Lisa Garrett and her husband, Walt of Raleigh and a son, Bill Faulkner and his wife, Libby of Raleigh; grandson, William Jackson Garrett who affectionately called him "Keith Daddy" of Raleigh; sisters, Evelyn Payne of Burlington and Faydean Mann of Tallahassee, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Ira Faulkner and Alyne Carpenter Faulkner. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11:00 am at Grove Park Baptist Church by Dr. Gene Hunsinger and the burial will follow with military honors at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:45 am prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
