William Loy

King, NC- William “Bud” Loy, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 in King, North Carolina.  A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Lacy L. and Pearl Cobb Loy.

Bud retired from Burlington Industries after many years of service as a supervisor.  After retirement Bud enjoyed growing tomatoes in his garden, riding his tractor and raising his many farm animals.

Bud is survived by his daughter; Candis Loy of Germanton, grandchildren, Lindsay Murray of Wilmington, Kathryn Murray (Daniel) of Winston Salem, Clint Murray (Leah) of Burlington and Kassidy Murray of Oak Island, great grandchildren; Hayden Murray, Samuel Murray and Sean Murray, sisters; Hilda Schardein of Paisley FL., Shirley Dixon of Greensboro, Julia Horner of Hobe Sound FL.  and Pat Cheek of Burlington, brothers; Tommy Loy (Janice) of Leasburg.  He was preceded in death by his daughter; Tammy Murray, parents, brother, Kirk Loy and sisters; Kathryn Allison, Mildred Petty and Erma Fisher.

The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 12:00PM on Friday July 5, 2019 at the funeral home and then process to Pine Hill Cemetery for a graveside service.
