William "Bill" Boswell, Jr.

Burlington – William Junius “Bill” Boswell, 85, passed away peacefully at his home after several months of failing health.  He was born in Durham County on October 9, 1936 to the late William Junius Boswell, Sr. and Nan Ewing Boswell and was the husband of 53 years to Sylvia Dickey Boswell of the home.

Bill attended Graham Methodist Church.  He owned and operated Boswell Texaco and Wrecker Service for over 18 years and later retired from Walter Kidde after 19 years of service.  He was an avid fan of the Carolina Panthers and Elvis Presley and loved his cats.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia; sons, William Derek Boswell and wife Ingrid; Jimmy Boswell; daughter, Sherre Williams; grandchildren, Seth Williams, Grant Williams, Kelsey Boswell, Chandler Boswell and fiancé Hannah Stump; great grandchildren, Laycon Rimmer, Memphis Talalah, Lindsey Williams, Luke Williams and a sister, Nina Lee Smith and husband Eugene.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nova Mitchell.

The family will be receiving friends at the residence.
