Mr. Alan Lee Lindley, age 76, of Snow Camp, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at his home after several months of failing health.

Born in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of the late Clark Lindley and the late Ruth Feltner Lindley and was married for over 48 years to Mrs. Alicia Dunn Lindley, who survives.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War with the United Nation forces in Europe.  He was an active member of the American Legion Post #305.  Alan was a career truck driver, enjoyed farming and was a member of South Fork Friends Church.

Mr. Lindley is survived by his wife of the home; four children, Robert Lindley, Cynthia Christopher, Dorane Streit and Richard Lindley and wife, Jennifer; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and a brother, Glen (Donna) Lindley.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a half brother, William Lindey.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 23, 2020 at South Fork Friends Church Cemetery by Rev. Dale Matthews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #305, P.O. Box 662, Snow Camp, NC 27349.
