Annie Elizabeth King

Elon-Annie Elizabeth Crumpton King, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 24, 2019. She was a native of Caswell County and the wife of the late Hansford “Son” Elvin King.

She was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Annie Sue Ware Crumpton.

Annie Elizabeth retired from Dan River Mills and attended Ossipee Baptist Church. She enjoyed growing flowers in her garden and being a homemaker. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter, Janice K. Somers and husband, Steve of Elon; son, Jimmy King and wife, Lori of Burlington; grandchildren, Stacy (Lee) Carter, Samantha (Alex) Hughes both of Elon and Jason King and wife, Katie of Matthews; great grandchildren, Ian Carter, Eli Carter, Sawyer Hughes, Whitley Hughes, Jaxon King; sisters, Myrtle Dyer and Rebecca Comer and husband, Bill all of Reidsville; brother, James Crumpton and wife, Sylvia of Burlington and a brother-in-law, Thurman King of Roxboro.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; sisters, Wilson Woodson, Ruth King and Katherine Stanley; brothers, Wesley, Linwood and Paul Crumpton.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell for their kind and compassionate care of their mother.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 11:00AM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Aaron Beverly. The burial will follow at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM   on Monday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of the daughter.
